She referred to him as her brother, people often asked how many kids I had because she would say ” My brother Landyn”

“Super Siblings” Stories were created because of the impact Zoefia’s passing had on her cousin Landyn. Zoefia and Landyn spent so much time together and just about every holiday that she wasn’t in the hospital. She referred to him as her brother, people often asked how many kids I had because she would say ” My brother Landyn” Cancer children often don’t have many friends for several reasons. They cannot attend regular schooling due to being immune compromised, regular school age kids often have common colds which can be deadly for cancer kids. Cancer kids are used to being isolated from many family members as well as the general population, they have to stay away from large crowds.   There friends are usually other sick kids that they have meet along the journey in the hospital and often times they loose those said friends to this deadly disease. Zoefia was blessed to have a “Super Sibling” {Cousin} who never judged her because she was sick, or had a feeding tube, or didn’t have a lot of energy to play ALL day.  Landyn loves Zoefia and accommodated her and played whatever games she wanted to play to make her happy.  So this is why we Honor the “Super Siblings”!

Zoefia didn’t have siblings she called her cousins her brothers because they were so close to her. Those closest to you are affected and are also part of the  journey.
