Lauren Barkman, age 20, is a leukemia survivor who has made it a mission to bring change to this world. After being diagnosed at the age of 6, Lauren endured 2.5 years of chemotherapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. The thing that got her through even her toughest times was music. 11 years later, Lauren’s passion for music and art has only grown. She now attends The Boston Conservatory as a musical theatre major in the hopes of one day being on Broadway. She hopes to continue her advocacy work and volunteer work by sharing her story with those around her. “There is no such thing as impossible. The word itself says I’m Possible”- Audrey Hepburn
